2021Heart of the Hill Cabernet Sauvignon

The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Heart of the Hill Vineyard offers more minerality and structure, with some classic Red Mountain minerality in its red and black fruits as well as notes of gravelly earth and tobacco. Full-bodied, concentrated, and layered in the palate, it has terrific tannins, and I love its overall balance. This is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the Heart of the Hill Vineyard that will spend 22 months in 75% new French oak. 94-96 - Jeb Dunnuck

Awards & Accolades

"“This is classic Red Mountain Cabernet. Despite the heft and power, it maintains its balance throughout, from the explosive aromatics to the long, mouth-coating finish [that] resonates as long as you taste for it; it fades like the last notes on the Beatles Sergeant Pepper album.”"

Heart of the Hill Vineyard

The Heart of the Hill Vineyard is aptly named as it lies in the very heart of the Red Mountain AVA. Heart of the Hill is certified sustainably farmed and was planted from 2006 to 2014. As those who know Red Mountain might expect, the Cabernet Sauvignon from this site is the boldest of the three wines, showing a darker fruit and incense profile with a tightly packed core that contains a hedonistic intensity, but it maintains its balance.
